My Background

I was born and raised in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago so my love of sun, sea and sand run deep! I came to the US to study Biochemistry where my love for biomedical research that started as a child since my mom was a scientist, continued to further grow as an undergrad in NYC!

Diverse and supportive atmosphere, amazing and knowledgeable faculty, great resources and opportunities

Developmental Immunology, Genomic Applications and Genetic Regulation, Therapeutic Development

My experience at Cornell

Very rewarding and fulfilling! Cornell has changed my life in every positive way - I've learnt so much across so many disciplines and have been supported in a multitude of ways like mentorship, funding, networking opportunities and wellness.

My advice for those exploring graduate school

It is a marathon, not a race! Graduate school is a lesson is how well you can multitask and endure! If you are looking for a challenge to test just that, then graduate school can be for you!
